Designer Day Three ~ lovebirds card by lauren bergold

as a papercrafter who tends to make larger-sized cards, i am sometimes stumped by the question of what to do with small rub-ons, stickers, or stamps. for example, the packet of fabulous maya road rub-ons in the TECOLOTE kit: i love them, and wanted to feature them as the "stars" of a whole card, but they are on the petite side. (the largest are not quite 1.5" square.) i decided that the way they were presented in the package was the solution to my problem:

i maintained the spacing the two cute birds had been given on their backing sheet, and placed some smaller icons just below them; then applied the whole thing to some girls' paperie text paper to make a block that reads as one good-sized (2 x 3") image.

then i went to town with mats, punches, die-cuts, ribbon and a title that enhanced the theme of this cute anniversary card!
