I'm Evgenia from Moscow, Russia. First I want to thank Kirsty for choosing me in your team. I'm really happy to join you. I started scrapbooking one year ago when my daughter was born and couldn't stop since then. I like to make altered projects and albums for my friends. My favorite styles are shabby and vintage. Recently I tried sewing and like it so much. Here are 2 hearts which I sewed for Pixie January Challenge. And I hope to inspire you more in the future.

Guest Designer ~ Ros Crawford

Hey all, today at The Pixie Blog, we are showcasing 3 more projects from Ros Crawford, our very first Guest Designer here. Wait no more, let's welcome Ros!

Miss You
Hello.... today I have something a little nostalgic.... a family photo of 3 generations..... tucked away safely in a little house card made using the Dec kit here at Pixie Dust Paperie....

..... A mixture of the beautiful papers... rich red seam binding and the trim from the alphabet sheet.... even the heart is made from the CS and I added my own glitter....

.... Unite the ribbon and there is my photo surrounded in lots of goodies from the kit ... crochet flowers, paper flowers, ruby red flowers centre gems, leaves punched from the subtle green CS and butterflies too ... even the button is from the kit...

This house card was even cut from the CS supplied.... I just drew the shape I wanted....
A few more detailed pictures for you....

This kit is so full.... I hope that my little creation gives you some idea of all the papers and embellishments and how they all compliment each other... and how you can use all the edging and packaging too... all I added here was glitter.... used a few of my punches and of course my sewing machine.... Enjoy!

Sailor
Hi I'm so excited to be guest designing this month... I confess I was a tad worried... I hadn't seen the December kit... what would I make... would I be able to come up with the inspiration... But then the kit arrived and Whoa! I fell in love ... Of course I just wanted to stare at the papers and not cut into them... they are so beautiful.... and I love this red... with all it's glittery bits

I teamed it with pieces from two of the other papers.... the fabulous "Voyage" card and some of the embellishments that come with the kit... It made this layout of my (in my opinion) very handsome Dad... 'easy peasy'

I made a sort of tag to back my photograph on... all I added was the twine

The embellishments have been sprayed with glimmer mist (came with the kit)  and all I added was some distress ink...

Look at that gorgeous sparkly ticket! And the little envelope was made with part of the packaging!
I just stamped on it and added the butons from the kit...

These papers need very little adding to them as they have their own designs and words....
I cut the hearts and added one of the red gems (also part of the kit)......

I'm so pleased with this! Hope you like it too....

Pretty in Pink
This is my last project as Guest Designer here at Pixie Dust Paperie and I've had so much fun using this fabulous Dec kit... and even though I have made so many things.... I still have stuff left over!
Today I have a very simple LO to share... using he beautifully shaped scrapbook paper from the Lost and Found range.... and of course my great niece Sophia...

Now I am the first to admit that scrapbooking is not my forte.... and yes I could have added flowers and lace and this and that..... but seriously the papers and ribbon look so pretty I just want to leave it at that....

The butterflies and leaves are punched and the pale ones have been coated in the glimmer mist and then glittered.... I love how they curl with the glimmer mist.... the doily is part of the packaging.....

I hope you've enjoyed my creations and Thank you to Pixie Dust Paperie for having me...

Kirsty's note -
Thank you Ros, it is our honor to have you here at Pixie Dust Paperie!

Guest Designer ~ Ros Crawford

We have the pleasure of having Ros Crawford guest designed for us this month. She had 2 amazing projects which I showcased here at Pixie Blog last week (Click HERE to see if you missed it)
When I first noticed Ros's blog - Mikey's Mom, I was amazed by all the 3-D projects she made, I would called her queen of template, she is just good at creating all these wonderful projects. It's your lucky day today, at the Pixie Blog, we are not just having one project, but three of Ros's beautiful creations, so wait no more, here's Pixie very first Guest, Ros Crawford

Little Gift Set
You all know I love templates..... little houses are one of my favourites..... and today I have used one of the lovely papers from the December kit  to make a card and cover my little house gift box....

All the papers are double sided and it was tough choosing which side to use when I was making things.... this little frilly roof means that you can see the pattern on the other side too....

I sprayed glimmer mist all over the sprinkled a little glitter on.... the little corners are from the bottom of the alphabets that come with the kit....

The roses are also made using one of the papers from the kit and even the ribbon is part of the kit....
I love how everything just mixes and matches

A very simple card using a border punch and I stamped a bauble  directly on the paper cut out and glittered.... I had to use another one of those beautiful red gems.... they look so luscious on the red seam binding... here's a closer look

Hope you like it....

CD Holder
I loved making this folder.... so simple using nothing other than goodies from the December kit and some distressing ink and a bit of stamping....
My son spent a few years working as a travel courier in Europe and collected so many photographs.... then he spent months traveling the west coast of America.... more photos! Easy enough to store on discs.... and now he has somewhere to store the discs....

I used the plain brown crd from the kit to cut a folder and adhered the large Travel card on the front (I just added distressing ink) mat and layered the watch card using some of the paper from the kit... and even cut out hands for the clock... adhering a button (from the kit) in the centre... The "ME"letters are also part of the kit...

This is the inside...

Made the C/DVD holder on the left using the same cardstock... added more contrasting paper and some more of the gorgeous "travel" cards... the only thing I added here was some stamping on the postcard and some distressing ink

The DC's fit easily inside... This is definitely one of my favourites

Enjoy!

Note Book and Card Set

You all know I love to make note books... can never have too many ... 'cos I love to give them as little gifts ... my friends love them ... The best thing is that you can use all your scraps to make them and the more the better. Sometimes I use lace and glitter and maybe some felt... but today I used only stuff from Pixie Dust Paperie December kit... it is just so pretty that nothing else was needed...

Thee are just so easy to do... I cut my cover from the 12x12 thick card that comes in the kit, scoring where the spine was needed... obviously the cut size depends on the size of your note pad... then covered the whole of it in this stunningly gorgeous scrapbook paper from My Mind's Eye "Lost and Found" range... the bold dots are gorgeous and the only added 'bit' is the strip of darker colour from another MME paper in the kit. A piece of the reversed side of the paper forms the pen holder and ribbon and button are in the kit. I also covered the inside with the rd 12x12 CS from the kit so it's all neat and tidy...

Of course I needed a card to go with it...

Again everything used is from the kit... just made the rose from the paper and used a red cotton to stitch with... see how my machine made it's own pattern? Don't know why but it looks good I think....

This green paper is the reverse side of a beautiful Prima 12x12 paper.... see everything co-ordinates with this kit...

And there we go another little gift...

Kirsty's note -

Oh wow, aren't they amazing, THANK YOU Ros!!! For creating all these beautiful projects with Pixie December Kit "Time Square Twenty 11". Stay with Pixie, we have more of Ros coming soon!

Pixie's Guest ~ Ros Crawford

Pixie Dust Paperie is having our very first Guest Designer

I first met (online) Ros when she took part in the challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog (my other paper crafting challenge blog), she was a regular and took part in our challenges every week without fail, won not just once, but twice. Her work is beautiful, and she is the queen of template, I just love all her 3-D projects.
I invited her to be on my DT for City Crafter Challenge Blog sometime in July 2010, and since then, she had been a great help, a super sweet blog buddy, and still the same old beautiful crafter that I know, I am sure many of you here already knew that and would agreed to what I've just said.
I am so glad that she agreed to be Pixie's very first Guest Designer, now Pixie's reader will have the opportunity to see her lovely creation.
Wait no more, here are some of projects created by our very first Guest, Ros Crawford

"My Guys" layout
When I first saw the papers included in this kit... my heart skipped a beat.... everything I love...... sparkle and glitter, postmarks and text..... When I saw this

Well..... it's fate was sealed....
My son was born on the 29th December

Let's face it.... this My Mind's Eye paper needs very little adding to it
Though one gorgeous guy never hurts huh?

see all the detail?..... just stunning and so glittery

Everything added is made from the kit... even that beautiful button is part of the kit and it just looks so good on my little rosette......

I don't have very good handwriting.... so ignore that bit!

Just wanted to add that the photo is mounted on plain red card from the kit.... makes it pop a bit I think

"Little Princess" Photo Frame
So I had this plain photo frame.... just waiting to be dressed in some pretty paper.......
then along came the December Kit with some pink and sparkly paper...
team it with one adorable great niece.......

a match made in heaven me thinks.....
used both sides of the paper as a contrast

What about those beautiful flowers? .... love layering them....

Even the packaging came in handy in the form of this little half doily and I cut the crown out from the paper

Says it all......

~ Ros
