Today was a Fairytale layout by Jill Sarginson

Hi everyone!

My name is Jill Sarginson and I was honoured to be asked by Kirsty to guest design for the month of October, designing with the Blue Moon kit. When the kit arrived, I was amazed at the amount and gorgeousness of the contents! Take a peek at my project, a two pager documenting our recent trip to Disney World:

I was delighted to find song note paper in this kit and that actually was the starting point to the theme of my layout (I used a song by Taylor Swift for the title). I carefully distressed the edges and front of the note paper and then inked with brown ink to create a softer look. I also printed most of my photos in sepia to help tie them in with the layout. I painted the alphabet brown (with regular acrylic paint) so it blended beautifully with my layout.

I will be back with some more projects with this fabulous kit!

Sweet 'n Sassy layout by Jill Sarginson

It's Jill back with a 2nd layout using the fabulous October kit, Blue Moon. This kit is full of beautiful papers and soft colours and for me, perfect for scrapbooking my little girl!

I went a different direction with this layout and opted to use primarily cardstock and packaging to create it. Yes - that pink flowered piece of paper is actually the backside of an embellishment pack by Melissa Frances! Take a peek:

In fact, the only patterned paper I used are the two circles I layered embellishments on and the three butterflies. The journaling square and the tag are punched out of the Graphic 45 sheet and flipped over to use the backside. To create a softer look to the layout, I border punched the blue sheet of cardstock and added brown inking to most of the layers.

Designer Day Three ~ Thinking of you card by Jill Sarginson

Hello,

It's Jill with a card to share using the gorgeous October kit, Blue Moon. 

The papers, fiber and elements in this kit are so soft and beautiful - they are perfect for doing a variety of cards - I opted to do a simple thinking of you sentiment but you could welcome the birth of a baby, make a get well card or even a wedding. The tag is from the sheet of Graphic 45 punch-outs however I turned it over and used the backside.

We'd love to see cards that you create with this beautiful kit!
