It is your lucky day, we have not just ONE but TWO FABULOUS cards to share with you today
first up -
Burlap background card by Lauren Bergold
one of my favorite ingredients in this month's TECOLOTE kit is the gorgeous burlap pixie-in-chief kirsty vittetoe has included for our inspiration! i thought about sewing it into a pouch or pocket to hold mementos or maybe a mini-book, but while i was pondering the matter i happened to see it sitting on my worktable next to some gorgeous red prima patterned paper and one of the elegant organza flowers from the kit. i was thoroughly taken by the contrast of colors and styles, so i decided it would make a fabulously textural background for a card!
i did quite a bit of fussy-cutting of butterflies and blossoms from the "pastiche" patterned paper, and for the rest of my design i punched circles and inked the edges to get nice definition between the layered shapes. i used multiple layers of foam tape to separate each successive level... i like the way it adds a three dimensional aspect to my projects. finally i grabbed part of a pebbles pearl flourish and some red cardstock leftover from previous kits, and my masterpiece was complete!
i love the many contrasts in this card: rough and smooth, country and elegant, bright and neutral. i hope the birthday girl will love it, too! ♥

It's a banner day by Cheryl Nelson
It is definitely a banner day when you can make NINE creations from one single kit! Such was the case with this Pixie Dust Paperie Tecolote kit. I was able to create FIVE layouts and FOUR cards with this FAB kit! I LOOOOOOOVE everything about it from the fun papers...to the lovely embellishments and lace and that oh so scrumptious twine!
So go get this Tecolote kit if you haven't already and start CREATING!
