how do you decide what to make next? usually i am "set off" by inspiration that can come from anywhere: the luscious colors of a bollywood film, the treasures of my favorite museum, someone's amazing project on the internet, or even the unique selection of fabulous goodies in each pixie dust paperie kit! but sometimes the deciding factor is much more practical and amount to answering the question, "what finished items do i need?!" this month the answer to that was, "NOTECARDS" ...because somehow i'd managed to run out completely!
so i used april's COUNTRY FARM STAND kit to make a little set of four uber-practical A4 cards fancy enough to impress, but flat enough to mail in ordinary envelopes. the webster's pages "gardener's seeds" paper is gorgeous as a whole sheet...but equally cool when cut into bits! i matted each seed packet on a layer of american crafts' divinely textural butterscotch vines, and added border-punched lattice and flower strips, a graphic 45 sticker, and a punched butterfly adorned with a blossom snipped from the gorgeous tim holtz trimmings in the kit.
