Designer Day 1 - Fresh Picked Layout by Keri Lee Sereika

Howdy All!

Today I have a "Fresh" little layout to share with you.... One of our Spring/Summertime all time favorite past times is to go berry picking...and if you have ever taken your children to the berry patch this kit is PERFECT for scrapping those precious memories!


On this layout I wanted to really keep things fresh and not too "girly"...since I was scrapping pics of my son. So I decided to use the beautiful sunny yellow ribbon to create a triple loop bow. I then layered that onto my tag. Notice the top of the tag? I layered a small bit of the gingham fabric from the kit to the top of the tag that is also a part of the kit...fun right?

As a finishing touch I decided to alter the color of the double ruffle trim that comes in the kit with just a bit of ink and then wrapped two layers of the baker's twine around the center to kinda hide the elastic on the trim. I felt adding a bit of color to the trim helped to soften the "girlishness" of it and also coordinated with the color tones of the papers used on this project. I hope you enjoy it!
