"Just Enough Stuff"
by Lauren Bergold
(Day 4)
***
i've been having a great time this week telling you about some of my favorite uses for vintage goodies and talking about the fun stuff that's in my etsy shop, but now i'd like a little help from you... and i'm willing to "pay" for your assistance... sound good?!
in order to help me find and stock the items my fellow papercrafters are craving, i need to know what ♥YOUR♥ favorite vintage "ingredients" are, so everyone who leaves a comment on this post telling me their favorite vintage item to use for crafting will be entered in a random draw and the prize will be to choose $15 dollars worth of items from my etsy shop, JUST ENOUGH STUFF!
i'll close out the comments on friday night and announce the winner on saturday.
so c'mon then and get typing: let me know what ♥YOU♥ love to use, or even just what you'd love to TRY, whether it be sheet music, old photographs, vintage lace, maps, postcards, sewing notions, ledger paper... if you like it, i want to hear about it!
thanks, and good luck to all!
I looooove pages with music or from encyclopaedia. Vintage lace is something I can't live without - has to be on the card!
ReplyDeleteAnd I also like different tickets, old postcards and metal embellishments.
There's more, although these are my absolute favourites!
I have come to love vintage music sheets and bingo cards and am trying to use them in my cards !!!
ReplyDeleteI got lucky, someone was giving away a bunch of old books from a high school, there was some great pages I got to use. My favorite was a an old art book, I could rip out some pictures of gorgeous paintings and use them.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE vintage look and some of my favourite things to use on vintage products are pages from old books, newspaper pages, music sheets and sephia or black and white vintage images. Oh, and seam binding and vintage lace too. And plain gold brads.
ReplyDeleteI love old pages from books or old music sheets and I also love lace.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Uta
My most favourite thing for vintage is to use old dictionary paper and old lace
ReplyDeleteI love to use lace & buttons, old photographs, vintage images(CraftySecrets)
ReplyDeleteOld tarot cards or prayer cards. I don't know why but I find them compelling and seem to be collecting them although I have not fully incorporated them into any projects . . . yet.
ReplyDeleteI've always admired vintage style. I adore old music sheets and old handwritten sheets:) I have never used vintage lace but it's so delicate and beautiful that I'd love to:)
ReplyDeleteHi Kirsty! Such a great giveaway! I love vintage style, specially tickets, music sheets and laceand I love to use them in mini albums and cards! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I don't have a fav vintage item I use as I don't have anything vintage! :( But if I did, it would definitely be book pages or maybe lace or maybe some fancy vintage buttons.
ReplyDeletedefinitely lace, "handwritten" cursive pages and lace covered buttons :)
ReplyDeleteI've used some old sheet music and it's great.
ReplyDeleteI am totally addicted to old crocheted doilies and flowers...use them whenever I find them...
