Merry Christmas Tree by Lori Hairston

Oh, Christmas trees....Don't you love them?  Cute ones, pretty ones, out-of-the-box ones, Christmas trees!  This little tree is based on a Martha Stewart tree.  The stand can be a rounded base of Sculpey clay with a skewer or an office pick.  I used a vintage pick I found for this one.  I've also made trees with a clay base and they're easy, too.  Graduated squares of paper from the November Pixie kit make up the tree.  I even used the pretty blue packaging from the Prima letters! I like the combination of greens and blues.   I started with 3" squares and graduated the squares smaller by 1/4" with the smallest ones being 3/4".
There's no exact formula, I used 6 to 10 of each size.  Spray adhesive is great for glittering up the tree.  I just added a glittered star to the top and a Merry Christmas banner.
I think various sizes of these would be so pretty as a middle of the table decoration or as decoration on a food buffet.  We usually have Christmas at our house, so I'm going to get busy making a few companion trees for this one!

Kirsty's note -
The holiday table would look so good with these little christmas trees.
