Farmer's Fresh Card by Keri Lee Sereika

Never want to waste anything I decided to use ALL of the pieces in my kit for this card! I saw the packaging that was with the paper and decided to use it to give my card a real "earthy" background feel. The thickness of the lightweight chipboard really gave strength and texture to the base of this card. I loved how the colors were BRIGHT and CHEERFUL...it makes me long for warm summer days filled with fresh produce from the Farmer's Market just down the road from my house...the juice red ripe tomatoes with fresh mozzarella, basil and a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic...this Country Farm Stand kit makes me dream of delicious summer days... yummy!

ABC card by Kandis Smith

When I saw this plaid paper I thought of my boys. It's the perfect paper for a kid's card--or even a baby boy card. I added on a Graphic 45 definition sticker, misted the tag with old lace mist, tied around the bakers twine, and stuck on the ABC chipboard letters. I love the way it looks. Very simple but cute!

Today I would like to show one of my recent project created from the April kit.

It is the card in the beautiful green and blue colors with the "with best wishes" sentence.

As you probably already notice I like hand-made flowers,

and in this work I also used one of my hand made flower.

The center of the flower is filled up which a small,

green, glass stone with lots of Silver Glass Microbeads.

It is completed by a liquid beads, which I hope gave a impression of delicacy.

Girly Gift Tag by Keri Lee Sereika

The Country Farm Stand Kit is so very inspiring. I hope you are all enjoying all of these beautiful projects the team has given you for inspiration on what to do with this kit! :) I must admit, I have been highly stressed out about making sure I showed the versatility of this kit. And just when I thought I was done I realized this kit had the PERFECT colors for a girly gift tag project I needed to create. I went to a Girls Craft Night Out at a friends house last week and one of our projects was creating soy candles in "recycled" tea cups. I chose this sweet tea cup thinking that my mom would love it as a gift for Mother's Day...but I needed to spice it up just a bit with a tag. Pulling a bit of everything from tags and ribbons to papers, cardstock and the little rose embellishments I feel like this tag "created itself" to just go perfectly with this sweet tea cup candle. Enjoy~

fresh picked birthday card by lauren bergold

do you love the charming botanical-inspired papers of webster's pages "spring market" collection as much as i do? well it's pretty hard NOT to love double-sided, cardstock-weight papers that are perfectly designed with tons of flower and fruit prints...and yet plenty of "white space" for scrappers to add in photos! the good news is that april's pixie dust kit, COUNTRY FARM STAND is a bounty of such delights!


the other good news--for us card-making types--is that a little clever cutting can "shrink" the perfectly balanced 12x12 designs...such as on the paper above...to a more useable size for greetings, and still leave us plenty of the reverse side's pretty plaid patterned leftovers!


once i had my more concentrated version of "simple pleasures" i didn't need much to finish my country style birthday card: a punched gingham edge, some girls' paperie alphas, baker's twine embroidery, and the word "birthday" cut out in my own handwriting... (there's a little explanation of that HERE) ...were sufficient to round out the design.

Just Us Layout By Keri Lee Sereika

For me, date night with only ONE of my children doesn't happen all too often. However last year we were given two tickets to see Disney On Ice Princess Wishes and I was able to dress up my own little princess and go out... "Just Us". It was a magical time for both of us. I loved how the papers here from Country Farm Stand really worked with this photo! I would never have picked them out to go with this photo but once I saw the washed out background of the photo and the soft light background to this paper it was just a match made in heaven!


Using just a little bit of fabric can add a HUGE new dimension to any project. Adding a scrunched layer behind these two little flowers really made them "POP!" off the page.

Day Card by Kandis Smith

Creamy whites and dreamy oranges.... just what my life should be like. haha These colors are so whimsical to me and when I saw these gorgeous white papers I had to create a fun card. I made a flower out of the cupcake liners and added a Tim Holtz button to the center and layered it over a Graphic 45 label.

The fabric was layered over the orange cardstock. And something unique about this  card--- I left it with just the word Day. I wasn't sure if I wanted it to say Happy day, Your day, special day, etc. This way when I go to use it I can just stamp the word I want to use right next to it!

take my heart by Zielonooka

Some time ago I bought a styrofoam heart and I thought that someday I'll do something with it.

I took some time that I finally come back to this heart

and the result is the heart in the shabby chic style.

How I did it?

I covered this styrofoam heart shape base

with Paislee - Parisian Anthology - Fancy Filigree paper,

then I painted it with white paint and sprayed a golden mist on it.

This mist gave the slightly opalescent effect.

The heart shines beautifully in the light  but this effect is unfortunately difficult

to shown on the pictures.

The wings come from the My Funky Valentine set,

I painted them with white cracking paint,

later I stumped it slightly to express a bit more the cracks

and on the end I sprayed a golden mist on the whole work.

Completed heart is girded by beautiful, wrinkled ribbon,

and topped with beautiful floral Tim Holtz button.
