3-D christmas tree card by lauren bergold

how beautiful are the papers in the december pixie dust paperie kit? i could easily spend a couple of paragraphs describing how wonderful it is that they're double-sided, that some have glittery touches and some are diecut, and that thanks to pixie-in-chief kirsty vittetoe they all coordinate *perfectly* with each other and with the selection of fabulous embellishments included in the kit... OR... i could just show you today's card, which i hope is a nice illustration of all those points! :)

it's also a nice illustration of how the right products do most of the work for you! the base of my card is just a judicious trimming of the collagey decorated my mind's eye paper. i fussy-cut the presents from some echo park christmas paper and used an edge punch along the bottom.

i made this sweet 3-D tree from another sheet of my mind's eye paper, by tracing a piece of diecut chipboard, cutting it out three times and glueing the resulting shapes carefully together. there is a step-by-step illustration of this on my personal blog today, if you'd like more details.

once i had all the cute ingredients ready to go, this card only took about five minutes to assemble...now that's what i call "holiday cheer"! ♥

Kirsty's note -

That's an amazing christmas card, thanks Lauren!
